AELGA 2026 Mid-Year Management Retreat: Reflect & Improve
Our Aelga management team recently stepped away from the office for our 2026 mid-year retreat at Laoshan Academy in Qingdao. It was a chance to take a break from the usual pace of work, look back at the first half of the year, and have some open conversations about what we need to focus on next.
We started the day with a light stretching session led by General Manager Johnson. It was a simple way to get everyone moving, clear our heads and start the day on a fresh note. The main part of the day was our mid-year business review, with much of the discussion focused on the things that have a direct impact on our customers.
Product consistency. Production schedules. Order response. Day-to-day communication.
We looked back at what has worked well during the first half of the year, as well as a few areas where we still have room to improve. For a manufacturing business, small improvements in these areas can make a real difference when it comes to keeping orders on track and making the process easier for our customers.
What We Took Away
The first half of the year gave us plenty to review, but the more useful part of the discussion was deciding what we can do better from here.Rather than setting a long list of new targets, we are focusing on doing the basics better and making the way we work more consistent from order to order.
For the second half of 2026, our focus will be on:
Keeping product and production requirements consistent
So repeat orders can stay closer to the original specifications.
Making everyday processes more efficient
So information can move more smoothly between teams and projects.
Improving response and communication
So customers can get clear answers when they need them.
These may not sound like big changes on their own. But in day-to-day manufacturing, getting these things right can make the whole ordering process easier.
Time Away from the Office

↑ Not our usual kind of team activity.
After the business sessions, we put the presentations aside and spent some time together outside the workplace.A walk around Laoshan Academy and a hands-on workshop gave everyone a chance to relax and catch up in a different setting. We also had the opportunity to spend more time with colleagues from other departments, which is not always easy during a busy workday. We finished the retreat with a combat sports session. It was definitely a more energetic way to end the day — and there were plenty of laughs along the way.
Looking Ahead
For us, the retreat was not simply about reviewing the first half of the year.
It was a chance to step back, talk honestly about where we are, and make sure we are moving in the same direction.
There is still a lot to do in the months ahead. We will take what we discussed back into our daily work and keep moving forward, together.
Reflect, adjust, and move forward together.
FAQ
Q:Can Aelga develop products based on a buyer’s ideas?
A: Yes. Buyers can start with a sketch, reference product or a simple idea. Aelga can help develop the structure, materials and functions into a production-ready product.
Q:How does Aelga maintain product consistency across large orders?
A: We focus on consistency from the development stage, including materials, tooling and production requirements. The same standards are carried through to mass production and checked during production.
Q:Can buyers build a complete collection with Aelga ?
A: Yes. Related products can be developed around common materials, finishes, shapes or functions. This makes it easier to build a coordinated collection instead of sourcing each SKU separately.
Q:Can Aelga support both new product development and repeat orders?
A: Yes. We support projects from initial development and sampling through to mass production and repeat orders. For ongoing projects, keeping the product consistent from order to order is a key part of our work.
